About Mr. Linzmeier

My name is Travis Linzmeier and this will be my eighth year teaching fourth grade at Hillcrest Elementary.

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in January of 2012, with a degree in Middle Childhood Early Adolescence (license for grades 1-8), and a minor in General Sciences. In 2016 I graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls with my masters degree in Educational Administration. I have always loved school and learning new things!

I am originally from Appleton, Wisconsin where I grew up with my mom, dad and older brother Tyler, who is also a teacher. I graduated high school from Kimberly HIgh School in 2006.

Having grown up so close to Green Bay I am a die hard Green Bay Packers fan. I wish I could say the same about the Milwaukee Brewers, however growing up my family watched the Chicago Cubs so naturally I became a fan of the Chicago Cubs instead of the Milwaukee Brewers. Although the Brewers are not my favorite baseball team they are my second favorite team and I always say that if the Cubs can't be in the World Series I will root for the Brewers.

I got married during the summer of 2015 to my wife Stephanie, who is also a fourth grade teacher in the Chippewa Falls School District. She teaches at Parkview Elementary.

During my free time I enjoy playing sports, running, riding my bike, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. I spend most of my time during the summer working in the yard on various landscaping projects or enjoying the great state that we live in. My favorite hobby is running. I have previously completed a few half marathons, one marathon and am currently hoping to run at least one full marathon again this school year.

Stephanie and I have two puppies. Lexi is our oldest puppy and is about a year and a half old. She is a black lab shepherd mix who loves going for walks, playing with a tennis ball and laying in the sun. At the end of last school year Stephanie and I got another puppy named Tova, she is a German Shepherd mix and she has definitely kept us on our toes this summer as she was just starting to explore and learn many new things.
