Communication
The most complicated part of any relationship is communication. We will continue to work on better communication between teachers and curriculum staff, between curriculum and parents, between teachers and parents, between curriculum and students, between curriculum and administration. This section of the website includes our new handbook which helps explain how the gifted and talented program works, what is included in programming and who to contact when you need clarification.
Our gifted and talented committee created a handbook that is meant to help school staff in navigating the gifted and talented program. The handbook is hyperlinked below.
This handbook would also be helpful to parents inquiring about how gifted programming works in the Chippewa Falls School District.
Gifted and talented programming is part of the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department. We are small in number but we have great connections and work closely with teachers, parents, principals, and other members in our department.
Feel free to contact any of us with questions you may have about gifted and talented programming. The principals at each of our buildings are also good sources of information about how we address student needs in the schools.
