The SAT is a standardized aptitude test that measures a student’s readiness for college. It is made up of three sections: Reading, Writing and Language, Math and an Optional Essay. Don Lugo offers the SAT to Seniors and Juniors each year. To register or more information click the link above or here .
Each section is scored on a scale from 200-800, with a total possible score of 1600. Optional Essay results will be reported separately. Be sure to find out if your colleges you are interested in applying to require SAT essay scores before you take the test. The SAT is offered multiple times throughout the year, and you are given 3 hours to complete it, with the Optional Essay will take an additional 50 minutes.

The ACT is a standardized aptitude test designed to measure a student’s readiness for college.The ACT questions are based on standard high school subjects. The test is multiple-choice and consists of four subject areas English, Math, Reading, & Science.
There is also an optional Writing section and you should decide whether or not to take the Writing Test based on the requirements of the college or university you plan on applying to. The ACT is offered four to six times a year, and the actual test time is just under three hours (not including the optional 30-minute writing section).
The PSAT is a test taken by freshmen, sophomores and juniors at DAL looking to gain test-taking experience in preparation for the ACT and SAT Exams. The PSAT serves as great practice and taking it could qualify DAL students for the National Merit Scholarship.
The PSAT is only a practice test score, students can identify areas where they need to apply more study time, which may help them prepare for the ACT and SAT Exams more efficiently. For more information click the link above.
