CSI TARDY POLICY
Students who are late to school, or leave early are missing quality instruction time that is invaluable to their education.
School begins each day at 8:00 a.m. with students being tardy after 8:05 a.m. Each time a student arrives at school past 8:05 a.m., the student must stop by the reception desk and will be issued a tardy slip regardless of the reason. If a student accumulates three tardies in one six weeks grading period, the assistant principal will be notified. The assistant principal will contact the parents of the student to determine the reason for the numerous tardies. If the student is late to school a fourth time within the same six-weeks grading period, the parents will be notified and the student will be given an in school detention (lunch and/or after school). For each additional tardy during the same six-weeks grading period, the student will receive an in school detention (lunch and/or after school). This process will start over at the beginning of each six-weeks grading period. Failure to attend assigned detention may lead to placement in In-School-Suspension (ISS).
