Braylon M. Lane (Recent collaborations include Guthrie Theater, Phipps Center for Performing Arts, Children's Performing Arts, etc.) is a professional Director, Performer, and Teaching Artist in the Twin Cities. A college graduate from the age of 18, Braylon started working in theatre while being younger than many of his fellow artists, and wished there had been intensive programming offering a bridge to professional theaters before he jumped headfirst into that work.
Braylon found it particularly difficult to find work at first, as he had to find ways to use his age to his advantage and find other areas of strength to compensate when attempting to connect with colleagues professionally. He is committed to developing new works by young artists and giving them a voice to be present in the professional theatre community. It is a mission to find young artists and uplift them to serve in many different roles, such as Actors, Directors, Choreographers, Playwrights, etc.
UP NEXT, he will be directing the Competition One-Act for White Bear Lake Area High School in his 5th year with the school!
