Understanding adverbs adds onto students’ prior knowledge of nouns, verbs, and adjectives. The video compares the relationship of adverbs and verbs to that of adjectives and nouns. The power of the adverb is demonstrated by illustrating how altering the adverb used can change the entire context of a sentence.
