A Jesuit Network Opportunity

Ever to Excel "Ever to Excel transforms students from around the world through opportunities to live Jesuit spirituality. Students deepen faith, engage in conversation, serve others, reflect, and explore Boston College and the city of Boston." Applications due April 5th, 2018.

The Regis Summer Scholars Program (Weston, MA) is a unique opportunity for rising high school juniors and seniors to prepare for their college experience. The program, which includes and online component and on campus experience, allows students to earn six college credits. The program runs from June 28 – August 4, 2018. There is an on-campus, overnight orientation (option for virtual) from June 28 – June 29, 2018 where students will meet their cohort, attend their first classes, and go to a Red Sox game. The next 3 weeks are online. Then students return to campus for their overnight college academic experience from July 19 – 27, 2018 which includes exploring Boston and a harbor cruise. The last week of classes is online.

Jesuit Virtual Learning Academy

Through our association with the Jesuit Network, students are able to take digital online classes over the summer for credit. There is a math team endorsed Trigonometry class that would allow students to bypass Pre-Calculus to enter AP AB Calculus, a selection of theology courses as well as AP Art History. Loyola of Chicago’s Theology of Healing Earth in Action Institute, a week-long institute that integrates theology, vocational discernment, and care for theenvironment is open to students who will be juniors and seniors in the fall of 2018. This year’s institute will be held June 24-30. Students study the sacredness of water through the disciplines of theology, ethics, and sciences and are asked what they might do to preserve fresh drinking water for all of God’s creatures.
