My name is Sarah Tiedemann. I graduated from Rider University with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and Psychology with a minor in Special Education.
This is my fifth year working at Chesterfield Elementary. I am a dedicated and passionate special education teacher who believes in providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. My approach is both firm and fair, ensuring that students understand expectations while also feeling encouraged and valued. I strive to create an engaging classroom atmosphere where learning is dynamic, interactive, and accessible to every individual, regardless of their abilities. As a kinesthetic learner myself, I understand the power of hands-on experiences and actively incorporate movement, tactile activities, and real-world applications into my teaching to enhance comprehension and retention. My goal is to empower students with the skills and confidence they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog, Dash. When the weather's right I love spending time outdoors; fishing, camping or hanging by the water with a good book. I also enjoy watching the Eagles and Phillies win a game.Â
I am looking forward to a wonderful year in 2nd grade!
