1. Research butterflies and/or moths
Using the websites and videos listed on the "Resources" tab, research information about each type of butterfly and moth. Record the information you gather on the recording sheet that is provided. You must find out the name of the butterfly/moth, appearance of the butterfly/moth, food of the butterfly/moth, habitat of your butterfly/moth, and 2-3 other facts about the one you choose.
2. Choose a butterfly or moth to report on
Once you have gathered all the information, you will decide which butterfly/moth you would like to become an expert about. Choose one type of butterfly/moth to create a written report or presentation.

You will create an model for your butterfly or moth to add to our "Butterfly and Moth Museum". You may create your model using paper, clay, recyclables, paint, and other materials. Please get adult assistance when using any heat or tools.

You will create an poster that represents the stages of your butterfly or moth's life cycle.
4. Present your information to the class
Practice orally presenting your butterfly report. We will be presenting the information to the rest of the class very soon. Remember to cover all aspects of the required criteria above. You must tell them all the information you researched about your butterfly/moth during your presentation. You will also explain the process to creating your model, including materials used and how you constructed it.
