We can be reached by emails, phone, or individually scheduled conferences to communicate and share news/ideas.
*Please note- phone calls go directly to voicemail and classroom phones do not ring during the school day. Please email if your need is urgent. We will typically respond within 24 hours.
If something urgent arises during the school day, please call the main line and a message will be hand delivered to our classroom. Thank you!
We recommend reading with your student approximately 20 minutes per night.
We recommend that students practice their "Target Number" throughout the week to help develop and maintain their fact fluency.
We recommend that students study and practice their "Fundations" spelling list throughout the week.
We do not assign formal math homework. If you wish to practice math skills with your students, we recommend spending time playing math games together as a family. Here are some resources from our Bridges curriculum:
Please refer to the amazing Family Resource page on the Bridges website. Here, you will find a variety of math games and activities to support our in-class learning. Each subject area we cover is organized into "sets" on the website. So be sure to click "Select a Set" and look at the areas to explore!
Students homework folders will be housed in your child's backpack and will come home everyday. In order to help your child establish good organizational skills, please check this folder nightly and regularly clear out the side that says, "Stay at Home".
Please also look for important school-wide information from time-to-time.
We encourage all students to bring in a water bottle and a healthy snack every day. We do not have silverware or microwaves to heat up food, so please send your child with a ready-to-go snack!
We love to celebrate birthdays! Due to severe food allergies and Covid, our school-wide policy is that families NOT bring in food for birthdays. Due to our new safety measures in place, we ask that you do not send anything for your child to share with the class. Thank you for your understanding and support!
ROAR
ROAR - (School-Wide Positive Behavior System) – We believe in mutual trust, respect, listening, and understanding from all learners as well as ourselves. We want to encourage students to feel successful and safe in the classroom. We will lead by example and maintain a positive role as a facilitator and educator in the classroom.
As a class, we will set norms we agree on together to ensure respect, accountability, caring, perseverance, achievement, citizenship, teamwork, and safety.
