Introduction:
Hello! I am so happy to be your child's intervention teacher this year at Ponderosa! This is my 27th year teaching, which means that I am old! Throughout my career I have taught grades 1-4 as a classroom teacher, technology in the specials rotation, and as a reading and math interventionist. I have taught in 7 different schools, 3 districts, two states, and two countries. I feel so fortunate to have found a home here at Ponderosa.
My goal for this year is to partner with you, the families of the students I get to work with, to promote academic growth in reading and math and increase independent academic skills. The purpose of this website is to give us a tool to use together to work towards those goals. You can click on the tabs below to find resources and information about what your child is working on intervention. In order to work towards independent grade level achievement, work in the classroom, in intervention and at home will be necessary. I can't wait to get started!
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Under my name at the top of this page, click your child's grade level. There are resources posted for both reading and math. These resources are excellent for at home practice of the skills we are working on in intervention class at school.
