Mr. Andy Jaramillo, MA
Fox Ridge Theatre Director
Mr. Jaramillo is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, holding a degree in Secondary Theatre Education and has his Masters Degree in Directing from Roosevelt University. His performance experience includes acting in several shows at the PACE Center, earning international recognition with the Sound of the Rockies Chorus, and singing as an opening act for The Real Group and the New York Voices. His teaching honors include working at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Summer Children's programs, several Superior student performances at the Colorado State and National Junior Thespian Conferences, the Inspiration Award at Junior Theater Festival West, and the Think 360 Arts School of the Year Award. He is thrilled to teach in the area where he grew up, and is a proud CCSD alum. Mr. J directs both of the shows each year and leads several theatre events that help students at Fox Ridge to excel in the Arts. He is grateful for everyone in our school and community who support our students in performing, and looks forward to empowering our students through Theatre.
Mrs. Shannon Schell
Fox Ridge Vocal Music Director
Shannon Schell is in her eighth year as the Vocal Music Director at Fox Ridge Middle School in the Cherry Creek School District. She currently teaches 6th, 7th and 8th grade Choir and 6th grade Musical Theater. Last year her Select Choir was chosen to sing for the 2019-2020 CMEA conference. Prior to her position at Fox Ridge, Mrs. Schell taught K-5 music at Arrowhead Elementary in the Cherry Creek School District and 9-12 Choir at Ranum High School in Adams County District 50. Starting in the 2015 school year Mrs. Schell was a founding member of the CCSD Honor Choir Board and continues to serve on it today. In the 2019-2020 school year Mrs. Schell was selected as the “Future Forward Educator of the Year” for her building.
Shannon comes from a family of musicians. Her husband Adam is an accomplished guitar player that continues to write and play music daily. Her son Nicholas, a graduate of Grandview High School, is a freshman at the University of Colorado Denver in the MEIS program majoring in Music Performance for percussion. Her daughter Symphony is a sophomore and plays the bass for Jazz I and the Chamber Orchestra at Grandview High School. Shannon loves football, reading, spending time with friends and family and singing.
