Happy last month of the school year! I can't believe we are already in May. This will be an exciting month with the end of the year quickly approaching. We will spend the first week of May reading books about teachers and showing classroom teachers our appreciation for them. The remainder of the month will wrap up our library year with some fun read alouds and activities. We will also be working hard to collect all library books before we head out to summer.
Good news! The CCA Library will be open this summer for you and your children to come in and borrow books. Stay tuned to the Eagle for more information and hours.
End of year important library dates:
Last day to checkout books - Friday, May 21st
All library books are due Monday, May 24th
Please note, that as we get closer to the end of the year, I am starting to collect overdue books. I will be sending home notices more often. If the book has been lost, it will either need to be paid for or replaced. You can pay for books either through RevTrak on our CCA website, or you can send money in to the library. You may also purchase a replacement copy of the book and send that in as well. If you have any questions please send me an email at slanyi@cherrycreekacademy.org.
1st Grade Technology
The first graders will continue to use Typing Pal throughout the last month of the school year. I am so impressed with how well students are using home row! We are also completing our final project for the year. Students did research on bumblebees using PebbleGo and will then be creating a Google Slides presentation about bumblebees. We will spend the remaining time, using the Beebot Robots to practice coding. It should be a lot of fun!
If you have any questions, please contact me at slanyi@cherrycreekacademy.org. Happy Reading!
