Biography

After growing up in Albuquerque, Mrs. Lanyi earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the University of New Mexico. She went onto the College of Santa Fe where she obtained a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership. Mrs. Lanyi received an additional Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. In addition to her impressive academic portfolio, Mrs. Lanyi's professional career spans 11 years and includes serving as a head Librarian, a GT Coordinator, and a classroom teacher for grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Teaching Philosophy

Mrs. Lanyi believes that learning should be fun and exciting for students. Students should take what they learn and develop passions that they can explore as they further their education. Mrs. Lanyi believes that students are always learning, especially when they can be creative. In the library, it is Mrs. Lanyi’s goal to create lifelong readers.
