All across the globe people have been affected by the global pandemic that is the CoronaVirus. At Cheney High School, our track season has been put on hold. That means that our 171 athletes that have signed up to compete in this sport are not getting that chance. I think this story rings true across the United States (and the world for that matter). Our goal with this meet is simple. 1. Keep kids active and motivated while they train on their own (SAFETY over Training). 2. Create an online community of athletes that can compete against each other. 3. Safely Hold a Meet Where people Can Practice Social Distancing (Please Use GUIDANCE from AUTHORITIES and Common Sense-Do Not Meet Up With Others AT Any Time) 4. Bring some light (and lightheartedness) to these uncertain times.
