Think of something you do well. It could be academic, athletic, mechanical, or artistic, for example. What was the activity you spent the most time on?
B) Watching an expert do it
C) Listening to an expert tell you how to do it
Solution: A. While all of these are useful in just about every human endeavor, the most important one is PRACTICE! This is how you should approach physics. It is something you will actively do, not something you will passively observe (much). My job will primarily consist of the following:
1) Providing appropriate resources (textbook, videos, etc)
2) Providing useful activities for your practice
3) Evaluating your work (for feedback and grades)
I will not spend a lot of time lecturing. There is little evidence that such a passive activity will help you.
