The iLab, which is housed in our second art room, is a place where students can make, build, design, and code things.
All students in the building experience lessons in the iLab this year. Each class comes to the iLab twice this year for a 1-week project experience. Mr. Aungst teaches lessons such as Fairytale Engineering, Playground Design, and robotics in support of our larger STEM and project-based learning initiatives in the district. They will use everything from recycled cardboard to our Rokenbok Mobile STEM Labs to teach students about problem solving and human-centered design.
In addition, teachers and students have opportunities to visit the space to work on individual and class math, technology, and engineering activities. In the spring, the iLab will host our Annual Family Code and Robotics Night to show off a lot of what we have learned this year.
