Mr. Aungst has been a professional educator since 1992, and has been a proud member of the Cheltenham School District community since 2009. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience in addition to 7 years as a supervisor of gifted and elementary mathematics. After attending Penn State University for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Aungst earned a Master of Education from Widener University. He also has administrative certificates from Bloomsburg and St. Joseph’s Universities.
Mr. Aungst is a nationally-respected expert in gifted education, elementary mathematics, curriculum design, and digital technology. He has been a board member of the SE Region of PAECT and the PA Association for Gifted Education. Mr. Aungst was invited by NAGC to serve as a member of a task force to develop their administrator tool kit, and was a member of the team that created Digital Learning Day. His writing has appeared in publications by ASCD, ISTE, and Corwin Press.
