TPP Overview:

The Teacher Pathway Program is a part of this larger strategic effort to recruit and retain a significant number of effective teachers who represent the diversity of our community and classrooms. TPP provides participants with guidance and support in pursuing college courses, teacher licensure testing and overall career development. Our current cohort represents the diversity of students at CPS. Currently TPP includes our Parent to Paraprofessional, High School to Paraprofessional, Paraprofessional to Teacher Programs and our Teacher to Administrator Program. Our current cohort are entering TPP with a clear understanding of our community and student needs and a desire to have long-term careers as educators in our district.

Chelsea's Hiring Diversity Goals:

At Chelsea Public Schools we believe that it is important for our students to see themselves in their teachers. Research indicates that students perform significantly better academically and socially when provided with diverse teachers. CPS currently has 22% teachers of color, it is our goal to increase that number to 27% by Fall 2022.
