About me

This is my 28th year of teaching, and I am very much looking forward to the new school year. I have taught in Cherry Hill for the past nineteen years at the Alternative High School,  and this will be my fourth year teaching at Cherry Hill HS East. I will be working in the capacity of an ICR, or in-class resource teacher, where I will assist teachers to implement modifications identified on classified students respective IEP's. This year I will have the pleasure of working with Mrs. Jodi Morley, (English 10R/ ICR) and Ms. Amada Schott, (English 9R/ICR).

My educational background includes a B.A., from Hiram College, located in Northeast Ohio, and a M.A., in Special Education, with an emphasis in Affective Needs, from the University of Northern Colorado. I have numerous interests, including genealogy, gardening, reading in my spare time, and woodworking.  I love to travel and am anticipating my next trip to Scotland this coming June. I am a sports enthusiast, who enjoys all Philadelphia teams, and cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes! I reside in Cherry Hill with my family and am the proud parent of two Cherry Hill graduates.

Please know that I want the very best for all of my students, and am available to help them succeed! If students are finding it difficult to stay on top of their classes and grades,  know that I am available  to help them . I am available on Days 2 and 6 during LB1 for additional support in Room B235. Please encourage them to reach out to me through email and make arrangements to stay after if they can not meet during school hours. It is an honor and pleasure to be able to work with all of your children. If I can be of any assistance, please reach out to me! Together,  we will overcome the many challenges that we face.
