Someone's culture is not a costume
The mission of this project is to educate people on what cultural appropriation is. As well as the cultural and historical significance behind the thing they appropriating. One can appreciate somebody else's culture without being ignorant or insensitive.
Cultural appreciation is the complete opposite of appropriating a culture. Appreciating a culture entails embracing cultural aspects in an authentic way. Seeking knowledge on cultural aspects that you are uneducated on and embracing them is what makes appreciation different from appropriation. It is also important to learn from people of that culture and give them credit. You learn. You listen. You give credit. You strive to understand.
