Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra 2 Seminar

Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12

Full Year Course (5 Credits)

Must be currently enrolled in Algebra, Geometry, or Algebra 2

Are you looking for extra support in your core math class? Then math seminar is for you! This full year course is taught by a math teacher to support your learning in Algebra 1, Geometry, or Algebra 2. Often you will have time to work on class work and/or homework from your core class with a math teacher there to help every step of the way.


SAT Prep

Grades: 10,11

Semester Course (2.5 Credits)

This class is a half-year (2.5 credits) mathematics elective. Most students who enroll in this class are juniors. This class will help students to become familiar with the content and format of the SAT. Students will complete several practice tests and will work both independently and in small groups to discuss and review the solutions to the problems. Each cycle the students will alternate between a Math class and a Reading class in order to cover all sections of the SAT. Students will also receive some exposure to the ACT. Many students choose to take both the SAT and the ACT before applying to college.

Discrete Math

Grade: 12

Full Year Course (5 Credits)

Prerequisite: Algebra 2

This class is a full-year (5 credits) mathematics elective. Most students who enroll in this class are seniors and have completed either Pre-Calculus, Algebra 2, or Trigonometry. This class will help to prepare students for college classes such as Statistics and Discrete Math. The topics covered relating to Statistics include normal distributions, conducting experiments, probability models, and statistical inference. The topics covered pertaining to Discrete Math include voting methods, apportionment, Euler paths and circuits, and financial mathematics.

College Math

Grade: 12

Full Year Course (5 Credits)

Prerequisite: Algebra 2R or Algebra 2

AP Statistics

Grades: 11, 12

Full Year Course (5 Credits)

Prerequisite: Functions H, Algebra 2A, Pre-Calculus H or Pre-Calculus
