Here are some things from current TT students!

Journal reflections:

"Seeing all the students being engaged in both their learning and me joining their class. They asked me lots of questions and wanted to really get to know me!" (West Student)

"The day before winter break they had an early New Years Eve party and the third graders counted down to 12 (PM) and then had a quick dance party. Even in the pandemic it's super cool to be included in these elementary classrooms and I'm really looking forward to getting to know the students better!" (East Student)

"The smile on one of the little girls faces when she joined the class and saw that I was there. It made me so happy and feel so special to have that big of a reaction after meeting her one time prior." (West Student)

"Meeting the students for the first time, and seeing them all be happy to meet us." (East Student)

Testimonials:

"Tomorrow's Teachers has been a great opportunity to make connections not only with your peers but with teachers too. Whether it's your teachers from East or the partnering school's teachers. You learn to really appreciate the teachers in your life and maybe solidify your plans for your future. Overall, it's a very fun, social, and positive class that I would highly recommend." (East Student)

"I have learned so much by taking the Tomorrows Teacher program. Being a teacher and really being in class with students has really helped me understand what I want to do. I would recommend this class to anyone because being with kids will change your point of view. The kids I have experience are so amazing with separate personalities, they all are so happy and eager to learn. You will be their change and help guide them towards their future." (West Student)

"Seeing how the teacher interacts with their students and control the classroom virtually while keeping everyone engaged provides an insight to the other side of education." (East Student)

"I really love this TT course. Being in this class prepares me for the kind of things I need to expect. I really like taking the class because it is also a lot of fun, and I feel like I have learned so much, about things I didn't even think of before." (West student)

"This class is a super engaging course where anyone who wants a future in education would thrive. Not only do you learn about learning styles, growth and development and education around the world, you get to have experience teaching in a real classroom. This experience is great for college, as well as giving you ideas about what your future could look like. I feel extremely lucky that I have the opportunity to take this course and participate in the practicum, because I wouldn’t be able to get this experience anywhere else. It’s super fun, educational and if you have any interest in education, I recommend this course 110%." (East student)
