Any wind, brass, or percussion student can enroll in Symphonic (Lab) Band. This is an introductory jazz class. This is a good class for students who are interested in jazz or want to continue their jazz experience from middle school. Guitar, keyboard, electric bass, and drum set players are encouraged to sign up for this class. Lab Band musicians also learn the Wind Ensemble music. No audition is required. It appears as Symphonic Band on a student's schedule. The Lab Band performs at three to four concerts a year including the Evening of Jazz Concert with the Jazz Ensemble in April.
