These are some suggested math apps. We will try to keep them updated as we hear about new ones. Some may work better for some students than others, so have fun exploring! Many of these apps are free, and students have access to some of them through Seawell.

Math facts can be monotonous, but 1) they can keep us from making preventable mistakes, and 2) knowing them helps enable us to concentrate on larger math concepts! In class we will primarily be focusing on big ideas and strategies, so home is a great place to practice basic math facts. Reflex Math is a fun way to take students through basic addition facts. After they master those, we will bump them up to multiplication!

(Password from school is needed, but Reflex works both on a computer and has an app!)

Math Playground is a great site for practicing math skills. It has a variety of math games that present math skills in different forms, so it is not just memorization!

Thinking Blocks is also fabulous for practicing word problems, and Math Playground can even help you sort games based on Common Core. Take some time to explore!
