All about me

Bonjour! I am Mademoiselle Rumley, your child's French teacher this year.

Teaching and learning are my true passions and I enjoy sharing what I have learned with my students. I am originally from Buffalo, NY, and I have a background in Foreign Language Education, as well as experience in Curriculum Development. I have taught French to language learners of all ages; from Pre-kindergarten to adults.

I learned French in middle & high schools, as well as in college. I completed an internship in Meudon, a suburb of Paris, France, where I worked as a Teacher Assistant and stayed with a French family. These are some of my fondest memories! I visit my host family as often as I can.

I work at two schools in Chapel Hill, and I ADORE reading, writing, speaking, and teaching French! When I am not enjoying all things Francophone, I like to shop, travel, eat all sorts of yummy foods, and spend lots of time with my fiance Jake, our cat, Liam, and dog, Jack.
