Meet the Teacher!

Hey y'all! I'm Mr. Davis, and I'm thrilled to be teaching 8th Grade ELA for the 2021-22 school year! This is my eighth year teaching ELA, my fifth year at Smith Middle School, and my fourth year teaching 8th grade.

I relocated to North Carolina nine years ago from Michigan, and I now consider Chapel Hill my home. I was an English major at Central Michigan University, graduating with a teaching degree in May 2011. I can’t wait to explore different writing styles in the classroom, utilize technology in our lessons, and observe the progress in our writing. LET'S DO THIS!
