Yes, students will receive grades in PowerSchool, just as if we are in our "normal" classroom. Feedback and scores will be delivered via Google Classroom and/or StudySync, then those scores will be put into PowerSchool as grades. Students can see a detailed list of all graded work by visiting the 8A Assignments List, which corresponds to the numbered assignments in PowerSchool.
Students are allowed to make up/redo any assignment, as long as they redo the entire assignment (from "scratch") and turn it in before the end of the current quarter. Most assignments will be submitted via Google Classroom. Students will also create their own personal websites that include an "eBinder" (details to come). Through these shared eBinders, I can check that students are staying current with their work, while giving detailed feedback about their assignments.
Most assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. Some assignments will be a link to another platform (StudySync, ActivelyLearn, etc.) but will usually also be posted in Google Classroom. You can see a daily agenda on the ELA Class Calendar that clearly denotes when every assignment is assigned and when it is due.
Some students may be asked to meet with teachers during these times. Otherwise, students will be assigned work to complete asynchronously. These times are built into the schedule so students can complete their work. Students should be working independently.
