3D Modeling & Animation Reflections
2025-2026
2025-2026
Q: Why did i take this class?
A: I took this class because i wanted to be a game designer as a hobby and my curiousity got the better of me. My father is in the technology area so his skills rubbed off on me and it makes me want to pursue a career in game design or animation. i take coding and 3D modeling classes before high school and it has really been fun and i hope this class will be as fun as the other class that came before it. for example i take CodeWiz which is a amazing coding camp which teaches kids up to 17 various coding styles and modeling.
Q: What should i expect to get out of this class?
A: I expect to get good 3D Modeling skills and Animation skill and abilities out of this. I also expect to get experience with working in a team and learning how to properly communicate with my coworkers. I want to learn how to use 3d modeling to express my ideas with the addition of finding a career in technology and 3d modeling. Something i want to is rendering and creating models for videogames, creators, etc.
What have i learned in 3ds Max? I have learned the ability to managed my projects with the addition of setting the names of the projects. I explored topics like layers, pivot points and how to move them and change them, parents and children, and using scene explorer to managed objects in the scene i am working in. In module 1 i have learned the basic of 3d modeling and the project called the temple of the primitives, in the second module i learned about project management and pivots which were essential for creating the module 2 project which is called Alife the Lego cat . The techniques I've learn are for saving and creating multiple shapes, for example I've used a technique i like to call the "UNIT RELATER" in which i looks at the units of my object and calculate a size of the object and transfer it over to the same sized object in the parameters tab, i have used this technique in Alfie the cat, the temple of the Primitives and the four corner side project.
I believe that the most important skill that I've learned is project management skills , I learned it in module 2 and will be helpful in managing projects and keeping myself on track and not lost in my folders. The second most important skill I've learned is naming things correctly because of my horrible naming process which goes something like "i will name this project, PROJECT 2" and that would be it, so for me it is a very good skill to have. There are multiple instances of where i used this skills in my project, one instance is where i couldn't decide what name is should choose for my temple and isn't too subtle but isn't too unsubtle so i used the naming skills in canvas to name my temple "the chocolate temple".
down there are three of the projects I've worked on as of right now(will update every completed project).
This one is the front view of Alife the lego cat.
This is the famous Temple of the Primitives or what i liked to call it, The Temple of Chocolate.
