Lindsey Britt, Visual Arts Teacher
In 2019-2020, we began a mural project to highlight student voice in the the central offices building, as well as to bring color to the hallways.
This year, we are proud to introduce a new mural from Glenwood Elementary School into the Lincoln Center Mural Project. All K-5 students at Glenwood had the opportunity to participate. They created self portraits, and Ms. Britt collaged them together onto the display boards. The bricks are hand-painted, and signed by all of the students.
Delaney Susi, Teaching Artist
This project is still in process. The photo is a preliminary draft.
The Mobile Bus Mural Project is a project of the Office of Family & Community Engagement, led by Roslyn Moffitt. The mural project was coordinated by Brenda Whiteman, Arts Coordinator, with the assistance of all the elementary art teachers.
A small group of students representing each of the elementary schools participated in an artist residency with Delaney Susi. They created collage art, and their art will be combined together into three master murals. The murals will be transposed onto the sides and hood of the bus through a vehicle wrap process.
