Network Engineering Course Pathway Intro
Access to course information, curriculum, and assignments provided through the Cisco Netacad link
Honors Network Engineering Technology introduces students to hardware and software skills needed to troubleshoot and maintain network systems. Students learn through a balance of class discussions, lab activities, online activities, and research. Students are exposed to all topics needed to successfully complete the Cisco Certified Support Technician - Networking(CCST) certification and the CompTIA Network+ exams, industry certifications for entry level network installation, operation, and troubleshooting skills. Chapel Hill High School uses the Cisco Networking Academy's CCNA curriculum as a guide for the course. All of our courses are part of CHHS's Academy of Information Technology (AOIT). Academy students will meet Academy course credit. However, all students are welcome to take these courses (not limited to AOIT members). Network Engineering 1 and Network Engineering 2 are offered with Honors Credit.
Students can also prepare for the Cisco CCNA certification thru self-study or CTE Advanced Studies courses. Certification vouchers (a $350 value) will be provided for students.
Please direct any questions about Chapel Hill High School's Network Engineering courses to Jeffrey Gates (jfgates@chccs.k12.nc.us).
