The title is the whispers in the study and the concept is for it to feel like magic is in the room
the purpose of my cut scene to make it feel more realistic like there's actually magic in the room
the character in my animation is the crystal ball this character is unique because it's not actually a character but a object
my cut scene tells the story without dialogue feeling like thees some special abilities in the room where everything is moving turning on and glowing and shining to make you feel like that
1.i will need to make bookshelves to put books in papers to fly everywhere a table for my crystal ball and ny candles and some glowing lights for my crystal ball
2.what will require most of my attention is my crystal ball making it shine and glow and making it look more like a crystal and how to make it glow and also stop glowing when it needs to
3.i don't need any rigging for my characters or objects since I'm using a crystal ball
4. my crystal ball effects the design and roles because it shows how the magic is in the air by raising and glowing with your attention coming to it
my layout looks like a whole bunch of bookshelves with books in them with windows in-between them with 2 tables holding my crystal and candles
my camera will be placed inside of my room with the bookshelves to make you feel like your in the room
my layout supports the flow of the cut scene with everything being raised up in the air with stuff glowing papers all over the floor to look like its a room for a wizard
Object 1
Object 2
etc.
my assets connect to my prompt by the bookshelves holding the books and then the two tables to hold my crystal ball and my candles
I choose to make the tables and bookshelves by myself because i thought those would be way easier to make than what i found on online like a candle a crystal ball stand
the type of environment i tried was like a magical room like on my magical carpet but also some dusty old like the type of wood i used on my tables
i really didn't use any references expect a magical carpet from Aladdin but everything else i tried to come up with to keep it original
my process for deciding which assets are essentials were like what am i going to use to hold my crystal ball and its stand and what am i going to use to keep he books holed up in
1..I used the material editor and bitmaps a lot just to make things look more realistic and nice.
2. I'm proud of how i made my bookshelves look just by problem it for the spaces for the books to come in
3.some challenges i faced was the uvw map messing up and not going in the right spots but how i solved them were just using box mapping and pack custom
4. i made sure everything was scaled good making sure the ball is known its the main object
5.I made sure it matched the genre by making the ball purple and like u can see through it with some glossiness t make it seem magical
1.I organized them by naming them to know what is what and my files by putting pbm first and then on what it is so i can go straight to it
2.creating a asset list helped me plan and trac what am i doing next not going in clueless and not knowing what to do
3. yes i made some changes one change i defiantly did was spread it out more so when i animate it there's more room to work with
one part of my work process i need to improve is start being more organized and be good about the little details to make it look good
2.i learned that you need a lot of physical materials and find the right one for your scene to make it look realistic
3. it supports the story with all the books and bookshelves and how there's a carper that is magical under the ball that's suppose to be magical
4.im most excited next to see how the lighting is going make it look adding to the scene
the type of mood and atmosphere i went for is to make it known the crystal ball is the main character in my story and the books darker after i changed it in the examples below
i used omni and spot lights they worked out good with the shadow maps and i used the omni to light up the whole room but not to much and the spotlights for certain things that i wanted to be brighter
how the color and light intensity affected by how bright i want something or if i wanted it to stand out but not as much i could just lower it a little
some challenges i faced was really having the targets in the right spot to know how i wanted to light different things then others
my lighting enhances the crystal ball has all the spotlight and the main thing in the scene
i animated the crystal ball the lights and the books to make it seem like the room is alive.
i made sure my animation looped seamlessly with once it was done making it go back to the start
some problems i encourted with timing and pacing was mostly with the carea and how to make it turn smoothly and not too fast but not to slow
i used camera movement to enhance the story by looking one way then looking another at different speeds for realism
i am most proud of how i animated the lights looking like there flickering
