Anchor Activities

Anchor activities Anchor activities are either stand-alone or ongoing assignments that students can work on independently throughout a unit, or for a set period of time.

The purpose of anchor activities is to provide meaningful learning experiences for students when they have completed a class assignment or project. They can also help to answer the question, "What can I do next?" They also respect the fact that students work at different paces, and provide enrichment for students who quickly show proficiency in classroom tasks.
