This piece proved difficult in that I had to learn a lot of new parameters, settings and effects, but I believe it was worth it for this result. As well as the fact that the skills I learned while making this piece will prove useful in my future. Using materials, I was able to make a realistic render of four different movie props, and combined them into one still life. Though I was assigned the pieces, and they were not my direct creations, I am still proud of this as my project. I mean look at it , it's sick.

This model was by far my favorite to create, mainly because I had more creative freedom than in other projects. The Torah scroll and yad are very important parts of my culture and are visually beautiful as well. Though I am not religious, I am deeply connected with my culture, and though I could have picked a more personal piece of Judaica, I thought it appropriate to test my skills by modeling the complicated figure of the yad and the ... paper-ness of the scroll. I had a lot of fun modeling this.

This piece was difficult. Though I was guided, I still had personal difficulties with lighting and rendering. Even so, I enjoyed the process and love the result. The fact that I could so accurately recreate a scene from real life, and achieve such an impressive result is satisfying and hard to believe. The project really emphasizes the lighting aspect of 3ds Max, so this project helped me a fuck ton in that subject. It still impresses me to this day.
