Artist Statement: "Everybody is good at different things and they like different things. But sometimes they like some of the same things. Friends can teach each other. For example, Caden in my class can teach anyone to listen very well. When we all work together we can help lots of people. I like that we are all a little bit different. Everyone is good. That’s what makes us great!"

Artist Statement: "At the top, it shows "sharing knowledge and helping" I was inspired by how my siblings and parents are always helping me and others. The one at the bottom shows "Encouragement and determination" and I actually inspired myself because I almost gave up near the middle and then remembered that I should keep doing everything is worth it. And on the left is displaying someone helping another person, and I thought this up because whenever, wherever I went I always saw someone getting brought back up mentally or physically.

Artist Statement: A butterfly has a long life cycle, and it requires hope and persistence. The caterpillar didn't lose hope and tried again. Then the caterpillar managed to become a butterfly. So I am hopeful for ME to become a butterfly and emerge from my chrysalis. I am hopeful because I have a whole future ahead of me like the butterfly has been waiting for.

Artist Statement: I picked four colors of acrylic paint that I mixed with flotrol. I covered the canvas in white and then I poured the colors on. I blew the paint around with a straw to create a water scene. Then I wrote WATER in sharpie and outlined it with silver puffy paint. I decorated with beads and sequins. I created this water painting because I am hopeful that all people can have clean water. Everyone needs water to survive and have hope.
