CFRESA’s Leadership Support Program is designed to coach and support the development of school leaders while supporting the implementation of effective instructional and cultural strategies.
Participants in the Principal’s Collaborative and Assistant Principal’s Collaborative meet once per month and participate in a peer-driven, discussion-based space where current principals and assistant principals come together to share challenges, ideas, and best practices in real time.
Key Features:
Emphasizes collaboration and shared leadership
Less formal; topics may be co-developed or emerge organically
Focuses on problem-solving, reflection, and networking
Encourages peer feedback, dialogue, and thought partnership
Often facilitated but not top-down — more of a professional learning community (PLC) model
Grounded in the lived experience of principals and assistant principals
Principals and Assistant Principals are assigned Leadership Coaches to help coach them into becoming exceptional instructional leaders.
The Leadership Support Program not only provides support to participants in the Principal’s Collaborative and Assistant Principal’s Collaborative, but also support leaders in LAPP (Leadership Alternative Preparation Program), GSLA (Georgia School Leadership Academy), Superintendent Collaborative, Assistant Superintendent Collaborative, Finance Collaborative, Nutrition Collaborative and Human Resource Collaborative.
