Ms. Lam (she/her) is an English teacher at Seaforth High School. She completed her undergraduate studies (English, Dramatic Arts, Creative Writing) and earned her Master of Arts in Teaching degree from UNC Chapel Hill. She was born in Hong Kong, China, and grew up in Charleston, South Carolina. She has previously been published in Prime Magazine based in Winston-Salem and taught at the Duke Young Writers’ Camp in the summer. She writes both poetry and prose and finds inspiration from writers such as Ursula K. Le Guin, N. K. Jemisin, and Jacqueline Woodson.

Aria is a sophomore at Seaforth High School in NC. She is close to her older sister who also attends Seaforth as well. In her free time, she likes to read, hang out with her friends, and take up new and exciting hobbies. She has played lacrosse for 5 years now, and plans on playing for her school’s lacrosse team in her remaining years at Seaforth. After high school, she hopes to attend a four year university in New York, or stay at a local school. She hasn’t decided what her future job will be, but lately she has found journalism, politics, and business interesting. Aria also loves clothes and expressing herself through different fashion trends and styles. When she’s older, she hopes to be successful and live a happy life in NYC. 

Arnette Benitez is a junior at Seaforth High School. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but moved to North Carolina in 2014. She wants to pursue graphic design and a career in the medical field. Arnette is a former martial artist who enjoys painting, drawing, and running for Seaforth’s Track & Field team. 

Henry McFall is a junior at Seaforth High School. Henry is part of the school's cross country, track, and tennis teams, and enjoys building a fictional world in his limited free time. He enjoys analyzing and creating things, and hopes to become some kind of engineer. He tries to find something special in everything he does. As a writer, he finds inspiration from  Brandon Sanderson and J.R.R Tolkien.

Leigh Messick is a junior here at Seaforth High School. She was born and raised in Durham, NC and attended Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill for 10 years prior to coming to Seaforth her freshman year. She has always had a passion for performing arts, and has been a student in North Carolina Theatre Conservatory's Pre-Professional Department since the program was started in 2019. Outside of school (and rehearsals), Leigh loves to play guitar and piano, read, write (mainly poetry), and listen to music. She hopes to study Drama/Musical Theatre in college and eventually be a working actor.

Vishva is a sophomore at Seaforth High School. He was born in California and grew up in India. Vishva is a Marketing Agent who works for the Wingspan literary magazine to raise funds and spread awareness. Vishva believes that strong work and determination leads to success.Vishva loves playing the drums. He also loves to learn about the vast space above us. During his free time, Vishva loves traveling with his family and friends. 

Wakeland Branz is currently a junior at Seaforth High School. He was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, Florida before moving to Pittsboro during 10th grade. Throughout his athletic career, he has competed in a variety of sports but has focused his efforts on weightlifting and tennis. In his free time, Branz pursues his passions for computer programming, often publishing personal projects on GitHub, as well as continuing to develop his skills in weightlifting. He currently holds two weightlifting records at Seaforth High School for the clean and snatch lifts in his weight class. Through his academic and athletic efforts, Branz strives to exemplify the rewards of determination and hard work. 

Beatrice is a freshman at Seaforth High school in NC. Beatrice believes that in every successful person is someone who has failed. Beatrice played Field hockey for most of her life. She has played for CASFH, the Carolina All Star Field Hockey team. She has blocked most of the shots taken on her goalie. Beatrice was given the “Most blocks” award by her Mother,the coach. Beatrice looks forward to training more in field hockey. And wishes of playing for the UNC field hockey team.
