The English II EOC is worth 20% of a student's semester grade. Students will be provided four hours to complete the test, which contains informational text, poetry, short story, and excerpts from world literature. The exam will contain multiple choice questions (around 60), technology enhanced questions (highlight lines from the text), and short answer constructed response questions (4 ACES responses). To do well, students MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ENTIRE TEXT. While students will take the test through the NC Test application on their county-provided laptops, it is recommended students use paper and pencil to take limited notes as they read. In the week before the exam, we will review reading and constructed response strategies and complete practice items online from the Released English II EOC.
