NEW for the 2023-24 School Year

In accordance with North Carolina Senate Bill 49 (also known as the Parents' Bill of Rights), parents may request their student's checkout history from Chatham County school libraries. School librarians are instructed to direct parents to this form to request those records. Parents will receive a response via email from the district Digital Learning Team within 3 to 5 business days, and the principal and school librarian will be CC'ed on the email.

What should I do if I receive a formal reconsideration request about a book from a parent?

First, you should always inform your administrator. Then, please notify the Director of Digital Learning and Media, Dr. Berggren, and follow the guidelines below:
