Preceptors--Who they are and what they do: 

• Current undergraduate students that promote academic success by assisting faculty with active learning and serving as a bridge between instructor and student

• Typically work in specific sections of 1000 and 2000-level courses 

• Help students with understanding and comprehension of academic
  content and provide opportunities for additional engagement with course curriculum 

• Guide students in the acclimation/transition to UNC Charlotte
