The College of Arts + Architecture has two trucks available for work-related use: an F-150 pickup and a Box Truck. Vehicles are not available for personal use.
Failure to follow the guidelines below may result in the driver losing vehicle privileges.
Reservations can be made directly by contacting Sarah Feller (sfeller2@charlotte.edu) or through the dedicated truck email coaatrucks@charlotte.edu.
New drivers must complete this Google form so the locksmith can grant their Niner ID access to the key box.
Please note that students will not have access to the key box and therefore will pick up keys from the Dean's Office (Storrs 101) during regular business hours (there are some exceptions to this rule). New student drivers are still required to fill out the above Google form.
Procedures for Reserving CoA+A Vehicles: F-150 Pickup, Box Truck
A driver contact form must be completed prior to the use of any of the vehicles. This will be kept on file in the CoA+A Dean's Office for reference purposes and will be updated once per year.
To reserve a vehicle, email coaatrucks@charlotte.edu, Sarah Feller (sfeller2@charlotte.edu), or visit the Dean's Office (Storrs 101).
Make sure to communicate which vehicle you would like to reserve, date(s), time frame, and business purpose.
Please inform your office manager if you are taking an out-of-state trip with toll roads. This may result in fees for your unit.
Pick up keys from the key box located in the Storrs exit hallway next to room 110. To open the key box you will need to scan your Niner ID and enter the last four digits of your 800 number.
Students who are renting a vehicle will need to pick up keys from the Dean's Office (Storrs 101) as they will not have access to the key box (there are some exceptions to this rule). Students will also be asked to show their driver's license.
All vehicles must be returned on time. It is very important to return the vehicle on time, as there are often other reservations. Please notify the college office if you are going to be late (704-687-0100).
Please return keys to the key box in the Storrs exit hallway. If you are a student returning a key after hours, please put them in the dropbox outside of room 129.
Trucks must be refueled if the gas tank is less than half filled. Drivers may use a departmental P-Card for fueling, or they may submit receipts to their department's Administrative Associate or departmental BSC.
Drivers must also check the vehicle exterior, including tire pressure and taillights, before returning the truck and must notify the CoA+A main office staff of any damage, warning lights, or if other maintenance is needed.
Ending mileage must be reported when the truck is returned. To do so, please use this Google form.
The Pickup truck and Box truck should be parked at the end of the driveway at the Niner House (across the street from Storrs Building) unless otherwise stated.
When returning the truck, be sure to clear out any personal belongings and/or trash.
Parking citations and speeding tickets are the driver’s responsibility and will not be reimbursed by the College or units.
