November:
November's lessons are focused on teaching students the importance of safety and how to set safe boundaries, how to identify safe adults, and more. Theses lessons fulfill requirements from Erin's Law, Gavin's Law, and Human Trafficking laws, but none of these terms are used with our students. All content taught to students is approved and provided by the district, and verbiage used with students includes words such as: boundaries, safety, and good digital citizenship. Please know that we as counselors are leading these lessons with the intent to teach about keeping students safe, not introducing new or frightening terms and topics. The document linked below provides a scope and sequence of lessons for each grade:
