"Every leaf speaks bliss to me,
Fluttering from the autumn tree."
~Emily Brontë
We are closing in on the end of the year! As we gear up for holidays and exams in December, come visit the Media Center for a break from all your hard work.
November is International Games month, so why not bring some friends during lunch and play a game of chess, checkers, or Uno? We also have autumn-themed coloring sheets, crafts and a jigsaw puzzle waiting to be solved.
It is also Native American Heritage Month when we celebrate the traditions, languages and stories of Native Americans, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians. Fire Keeper's Daughter, Calling for a Blanket Dance, and A Snake Falls to Earth are just a few of the titles we have honoring the history of these cultures.
Finally, happy birthday to authors Neil Gaiman (Coraline, Anansi Boys, Snow, Glass Apples) and Neil Schusterman (Thunderhead, Scythe, and Roxy), two giants in YA fiction.
These and hundreds more books are waiting for you to choose from, so come take a look!
