HOW TO GET A CALCULATOR
The Media Center has a limited supply of Texas Instrument calculators including the TI-Nspire and TI-84 models for students to borrow. To do so, log into your CCSD school email account, fill out the agreement form (see below), and select your teacher's preferred model from the dropdown menu. If you don't see your teacher's name listed, please let us (and them) know.
CHARGING YOUR CALCULATOR
The Media Center does not provide USB charging cords, however, they are easily purchased on Amazon or through local retailers like Target and Walmart. Some teachers have charging boxes in their rooms that you can use or you can bring yours to the Media Center. If you receive a battery-operated model, we will replace batteries until September 30. Students are responsible for their replacement after that.
WHEN TO GET A CALCULATOR
Distribution will begin the week of August 19, with priority given to EOC and freshman math classes. Calculators will be distributed in the Media Center at a time scheduled by class teachers. We receive more requests than we have calculators. If you need one, request one early!
CHARGE TO POWERSCHOOL ACCOUNT
All borrowers will have a placeholder charge of $150 on their PowerSchool accounts. The fee will be removed when the calculator is returned and determined to be undamaged and in good, working condition. Otherwise, the fee will stay on the account until its return.
RETURNING A CALCULATOR
All calculators MUST be returned to the Media Center at the end of each semester UNLESS you need one for both semesters.
When returned, please make sure it is fully charged and clean of pencil and pen markings, food bits, stickers, etc. (Although none of those things should be on the calculators in the first place). Please DO NOT remove the calculator's barcode label.
The calculator MUST be undamaged and in good, working condition or you will be responsible for its replacement cost of $150.
I LOST MY CALCULATOR
If your calculator is lost or stolen, please come talk to us ASAP so we can assist you!
I FORGOT MY CALCULATOR AND I HAVE A TEST!
As much as we would like to help you, we do not have enough calculators to give out to students who forget their calculators. Please plan ahead and be responsible with the calculator you are provided, particularly on testing days.
