Elizabeth Uptegrove is currently an Assistant Director with the Teaching & Learning Department and supervises Academically Gifted & Talented Services for CCSD. She is certified in Gifted & Talented Education and has a Masters in Educational Leadership. She was honored in 2023 with the National Association of Gifted Children's Gifted Coordinator Award for her gifted advocacy and leadership in CCSD.
Rachel has served as a Gifted and Talented teacher in our department and currently works as an Instructional Coach at Midland Park Primary. She was named the 2024 GT Department Teacher of the Year. Rachel holds an M.Ed. in Teaching, Learning, and Advocacy, along with an additional 30 graduate hours in Curriculum and Instruction. She is endorsed as a teacher leader, Read2Succeed teacher, literacy coach, and gifted and talented educator. She is currently pursuing an administrator certification.
Erin is currently the Secondary Lead Teacher in the GT Department and has been an instructional coach at Lucy Beckham and an Honors/AP Teacher at Wando. She is a CCSD Top 5 Teacher of the Year Finalist (2023), and she has a Masters in Educational Leadership as well as GT & Online Teaching endorsement.
Jennifer has been a GT Lead Teacher in our department, and she is currently the GT Teacher at North Charleston Creative Arts, North Charleston Elementary, and Sullivan's Island Elementary. She was a finalist for our 2025 GT Department Teacher of the Year, and she has her Masters in Instructional Technology. She has an online teaching certification as well as a GT endorsement.
