Montessori Community School seeks to provide students with enriching, engaging field trip activities which align with South Carolina academic standards. Students are expected to follow the CCSD Code of Conduct while participating in all field trips. 

*Teachers will reach out to families if students are missing a significant number of assignments in a core academic class, and offer the option to attend the field trip, or stay behind at school in order to complete late assignments. 

Student Participation (IJOA-R)

Parental permission must be obtained for each field trip. Parents/legal guardians are to be informed of the purpose of the trip and the details of trip logistics.

Students who participate in field trip activities activities shall be limited to those who are participating in the class or activity for which the trip is designed.

The school principal may deny a student the opportunity to participate in a field trip if, in the professional judgment of the staff, the student's participation would jeopardize his/her personal safety/educational progress or the safety/educational progress of others.
