The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) provides funds for one administration of either the ACT® or the SAT® to any student in their 3rd year of high school. The cost of the assessment will be covered by the SCDE and will be administered during the school day on March 10, 2026.
Participation in either the SAT or ACT is voluntary for all students, though Charleston County School District encourages all students to take at least one of these tests even if your student may not be considering college at this time. There is no essay portion for either school day assessment. Regardless of choice, we need a response from every student.
THIS FORM IS DUE NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 18, 2025.
Forms received after this date WILL NOT BE REGISTERED for testing.

How Do You Find Happiness?
With the start of Quarter 2, we enter our "Hacking Happiness" series where we present every Monday a life tip that promotes happiness. Happiness Hack #1 is sleep. This week's Happiness Hack #2 is laughter. Please ask your student each week's hack - what it is, what they learned about it, and how they might implement it into their daily lives.
