Clubs & Organization

Our goal with clubs and organizations is to bring students together who share common interests, activities, and/or want to investigate topics more.

The clubs on this list are affiliated with a national or international organization. Honor Societies are organizations for students that are generally based on application status, GPA, and/or invitations to join. Not all fit this criteria, so please reach out to the sponsor(s) with additional questions.

Bengal Buddies: We are the Lucy Beckham High School chapter of Best Buddies International, which aims to include and enhance the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This club is affiliated with Best Buddies.

Beta Club: As the largest, independent, educational youth organization in America, National Beta Club emphasizes our four pillars by providing opportunities and experiences to impact our members, their schools, and communities.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes: We provide a place for all Christian and non-Christian students to meet to have fun, to have conversations, to build relationships, and to engage in spiritual conversations. You do not have to be an athlete to join.

HOSA (Future Health Professionals): The purposes of LBHS HOSA are to inspire students' interest in healthcare, promote self-reliant leadership, enhance knowledge and skills for health science education, encourage individual and group project involvement, and recognize and nurture outstanding leadership among members.

Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society: The purpose of Social Studies Honor Society is to recognize students who excel in Social Studies-based courses at Lucy Beckham, as well as to encourage interest in social studies and engage in service opportunities and leadership activities.

Spanish Honors Society/Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica : The purpose of the SHH is to recognize high achievement in Spanish and Portuguese by students of secondary schools and to promote continuity of interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies.

Student Council: Leadership is enrolled in a Student Council class. Some membership of Student Council is open to anyone, but other parts require applications & previous membership. Our goal is to bring together the school by highlighting academics, athletics, performance, etc through spirited events while bringing the school together.

Thespian Club/International Thespian Society: This is a club for any and all theatre lovers! We chat about current theatre happenings, put on workshops, and will be volunteering within our community this year. You do not need to be enrolled in a theatre course to participate!
