Smart Target Program

To have a completed portfolio for the FIRST NINE WEEKS students will be required to turn in the following each nine weeks:

3 Real World Articles & Reflection,

5 teacher choices,

and 1 Student Choice.

NOTE: THIS PROGRAM WILL BEGIN AT THE START OF THE 2ND NINE WEEKS OF SCHOOL.

Students will be working on their Smart Target Portfolios each nine weeks. They need to complete nine assignments in nine weeks. This will help students review older material, relearn material they needed to try again to understand, and a way to explore their own interests!

The Smart Target program will lead you to new levels of knowledge and understanding of science!

Each 9 weeks, go further than you dreamed; explore new depths of many science topics!

How do I reach my Smart Target?

You will need to complete several activities, called Building Blocks, to reach your Smart Target for each grading period.

What are Building Blocks?

Building Block assignments help you reach your Smart Targets! Whatever you complete should relate to the discussions, reading, and activities that we have complete in class, i.e., the content.

In other words: they need to relate to our science standards for this year. Use Building Blocks to sharpen and to demonstrate your understanding of the content in a creative manner. QUALITY WORK IS EXPECTED!

Simply put, Building Block activities are activities that are completed in addition to regular class assignments and activities.
