workforce preparation
Charleston Adult Education offers a variety of activities, programs and services to help individuals become job ready. These workforce preparation activities are designed to improved the basic academic, critical thinking, digital literacy, and self-management skills needed to help individuals transition successfully to post-secondary education, training, or employment.
High School Equivalency Diploma Program
Our GED Preparation classes offer individual and small group instruction which meet the South Carolina Adult Education, Career and Digital Literacy Standards.
Workforce Skills Lab
Individualized instruction designed for individuals who need to upgrade their skills for post-secondary education, training, or employment.

workplace literacy
We offer customized, employer-driven instructional programs.
Charleston Adult Education collaborates with employers to develop and implement workplace adult education programs and activities that are designed to improve the productivity of the workforce by meeting the identified needs of the employer. These services may be offered at the job site or at a Charleston Adult Education facility.
